Entry requirements 

Details of the academic and English language requirements for your course are on our course finder. We help many students from Turkey to improve their qualifications to meet entry requirements.


Academic equivalencies

Undergraduate

We require a Devlet Lise Diplomasi (State High School Diploma) or Lise Bitirme Diplomasi (Private High School Diploma) with minimum 70% for entry to year 1.

Please note that this is the standard academic entry requirement. Courses which have a professional accreditation may have extra requirements. We do not accept a Turkish English language qualification as meeting our minimum English language proficiency requirements. Find out about the English qualifications that we accept.

Postgraduate

We require a Lisans Diplomasi (bachelors degree) or a Mühendis Diplomasi (engineering degree). Other Turkish undergraduate qualifications are considered comparable to British masters degree standard; 5–6 year Eczacilik Diplomasi (Pharmacist Diploma), 5–6 year Dis Hekimi Diplomasi (Dentistry Diploma), 5–6 year Veteriner Hekim Diplomasi (Veterinarian Diploma) and the 6–7 year Tip Doktoru Diplomasi.

Vice-Chancellor international scholarships

Our Vice-Chancellor international scholarships are automatically granted to eligible students from specific regions, including your country.

The Vice-Chancellor scholarship is awarded as a reduction on tuition fees of:

  • £2,500 at masters level
  • £5,500 at bachelors level (across a standard three-year course).

Home from home

If you're looking for a little taste of home when you're in 91快活林, you can check out  restaurant on Preston Street, or try out the award winning  restaurant, and if you're looking for something more laid back or for a light bite check out the Curry Leaf Cafe in the Lanes. 

You can join one of the many . There are over 100 societies – from faith-based groups and cultural societies to hobby clubs and academic groups. If you can’t find a society that suits your interests, you can even start your own! You can also make friends by joining a sports team or club, either to play for fun or take part in competitions against other universities.

Your employability

Whether you are studying a bachelors degree or adding to your existing qualifications with a masters level course, it’s important to think about how you will use your time at university to benefit your career after graduation.

All of our courses either offer the opportunity for a placement or have work-related learning embedded to help you apply your academic skills and knowledge in a professional environment. You’ll also have access to our international student jobs portal to help you find graduate work in the UK and abroad.

Exchange opportunities

We partner with Koç University in Istanbul to enable students to join us for an exchange programme as part of their degree.

Exchange programme lengths vary depending on the course which you are studying. You may join us for a couple of weeks, a semester, or a full academic year. Your university will be able to provide more information.
