Online summer schools

Running from: 23 to 26 July 2024.

Our online summer schools offer you the chance to get a taste of what it's like to study a subject you love at university.

Find out about the university experience from lecturers, current students and university staff. You'll take part in taster sessions and a subject-specific project that could be used to support your personal statement.

The programme includes lectures, project support, informal discussions, careers and university information, study skills and fun online social events.

There is no cost to take part in an online summer school. All students are invited to attend.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Nothing! There is no cost to participate in the online summer schools.

Who can attend?

All students in year 12 and first year of college or 6 form can attend, the closing date for applications is 19 July.

What's the difference between in-person summer schools and online summer schools?

The main difference is that you can take part from anywhere, at your own pace, each day over the 4 day event there will be a live interactive session to attend, for the rest of the time you can access on demand content and research your subject-specific project. It is recommended you have access to a laptop or PC to join in the sessions.
