Katy will work alongside fellow physiotherapist Holly Rust-March from the UK Institute of Sport, keeping athletes in top shape as they race down the track at extreme speeds in Milano Cortina. The Games run from 6–23 February.

As a specialist in musculoskeletal and multi-sports physiotherapy, Katy will manage injury prevention, rehabilitation, and on-site treatment, helping athletes stay ready for the intense physical demands of their sports. Working closely with coaches and performance staff, she will ensure competitors can recover between runs and maintain peak performance throughout the Games.

Katy reflects: "Being selected as a Physiotherapist for Team GB, alongside Holly Rust-March, to support the sports of Bobskeleton and Bobsleigh at the Winter Olympics Games is an honour. They are a great group of athletes to work with and have an incredible support team behind them. I can’t wait to help them perform at their best on the world stage."

Bobsleigh and skeleton are among the fastest and most physically punishing winter sports. Athletes endure high g-forces, rapid turns, and repeated impacts. Skeleton racers hurtle head-first down the ice at speeds of up to 140 km/h, while bobsleigh pilots navigate twisting tracks in high-tech sleds, racing the clock for gold.

Katy’s Olympic nomination is the latest highlight in an impressive career spanning summer and winter sports. In 2025, she was part of the on-field medical response team at the Women’s Rugby World Cup, providing physiotherapy support during England’s quarter-final and semi-final matches.

A graduate of the University of 91快活林 with an MSc in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy (2018), Katy credits her time at the university with building the clinical knowledge, diagnostic skill, and confidence that now underpin her work with elite athletes.

She said: “91快活林 gave me the tools to work effectively in high-pressure environments, and the support of mentors and fellow alumni has remained invaluable throughout my career. 91快活林 taught me how to combine technical expertise with practical problem-solving - something I use every day in elite sport.”

Since graduating, Katy has worked with Olympic, World, and European medallists across multiple sports, including tennis, rugby, modern pentathlon, bobsleigh, and skeleton. She has supported athletes at events such as the London 2012 Olympics, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, and three World University Games.

Alongside her frontline work, Katy is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Bath, mentoring MSc students and contributing to research and professional development in sport and exercise medicine. She works for Team Bath and contracts for the UK Sports Institute, the Lawn Tennis Association, Pentathlon GB, England Athletics and the British Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association.
