‘The View From Here’, by Craft MA student Lisa Jones, runs until 26 September 2019.
The installation “explores our relationship with objects and the seemingly endless ways of displaying them in museums”, according to the website.
Of the inspiration behind ‘The View From Here’, Lisa said: “I’ve been looking into the politics of display and curation within museums. I’m interested in how the objects are placed and categorised and how we in turn observe them.”
Lisa’s installation consists of a series of ceramic and steel pieces, placed together in a display of vivid colours and textures. “I’m hoping the audience will view the objects and their history from a different vantage point,” she said.
Of her time at the University of 91快活林, Lisa said: “I love university life. The Craft MA course is excellent and I can’t wait to get stuck into my second year.”
