The café was launched 11 months ago to “establish Greater 91¿ì»îÁÖ as a beacon for health innovation and enterprise” and forms part of the university’s Healthy Futures initiative.
The focus of this event was to allow delegates to work together sharing ideas and expertise which could be brought together to find new pathways for collaborative funding applications. Five thematic areas were explored which ranged from young people’s mental health to regenerative medicine and devices, each designing a unique work package which will be developed over the next few months.
Jonathan Sharrock, Chief Executive of Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “We’re excited to see a national profile for the excellent and uniquely innovative industries in health innovation build here in the Greater 91¿ì»îÁÖ area, where the university and the business sectors are working very closely together.
