Does the application of Opsite Flexigrid occlude the transcutaneous oxygen saturation readings in healthy individuals using the Moor VMS-OXY machine?

This research project will be a pilot. We intend to use the moorVMS-OXY machine on healthy individuals with a view to developing a protocol for the eventual use in NHS patients with conditions such as Peripheral Arterial Disease, Critical Limb Ischemia and Diabetes Mellitus.

The moorVMS-OXY and all consumables were purchased by the University of 91快活林.

Project aims

The overall aim of this pilot project is to ascertain whether one or two layers of OF have an effect on the readings from the moorVMS-OXY, since OF would be needed to prevent cross infection when evaluating ulcerated patients.

Project findings and impact

This projects should develop a protocol to help to appropriately use the moorVMS-OXY on ulcerated patients to best effect.
