Community outreach

Doing good is beneficial both for those who receive acts of kindness and those who offer them.

Our Faith and Spirituality Network is involved with a number of community outreach projects – this page will be regularly be updated with information on how you can get involved with these opportunities to do good.

Current volunteering opportunities overseen by the Catholic Faith Adviser:

  • helping out each week at the food bank in the new in Kemptown, planned to commence in September.
  • cooking for a young adults' Sunday lunch at St Joseph's Church, Elm Grove.

Individual community involvement

Wherever you are there will be ways you can serve your community. Putting a note through the door of elderly neighbours to offer support, phoning those who might be especially lonely, offering yourself to any local volunteer networks are all ways to show your care for others.
