The university’s Formula Student team was presented with the generous funding by Holly Price from Santander Universities, the project’s principal supporter, at the students’ engineering exhibition at the Advanced Engineering Centre.
The money will contribute towards the construction of a Formula Student car that will compete at Silverstone in July. Engineering students have been designing and building the car throughout the academic year as part of their undergraduate study.
Dr Daniel Coren, Formula Student Coordinator, said: “The support and encouragement we have received from Holly Price at Santander has had a massive impact on our Formula Student activities, enabling us to build the first University of 91快活林 student car to compete at Silverstone motor circuit.
“With this increased level of support we are aiming to build a new, improved car incorporating added lightness, practical wisdom and many lessons learnt through practice-based engineering project work.
