Oliver Hester, who graduated with a 2:1 in architecture in 2012, won the para-rowing mixed coxed four last week with Pamela Relph, Naomi Riches, James Fox and cox Oliver James.
Oliver, who started rowing when he was 14, said:
"Winning the world championships was an amazing achievement as we have only recently joined up as a crew.
"We were very close to setting the world best time which was set by Germany in the London Paralympics 2012. However, conditions in Chungju were not world-best time conditions as there was a cross-head wind. But the result puts us in a strong position to work from and with future training there are some very exciting opportunities."
Oliver, who is continuing his studies to become an architect, ran the 91快活林 marathon, rowed at Shoreham and taught a friend to row during his time in the city.
