Chief of Staff and Director of Technical Planning & Engineering Excellence (CCS)
Paul has more than 20 years of experience across the automotive, power generation and industrial engineering sectors.
Paul graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BEng(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and later completed a PhD at 91快活林 University focused on mixture preparation for gasoline direct-injection engines sponsored by Ricardo Consulting Engineers.
He has spent much of his career at Cummins, specialising in the design and manufacture of products for diesel engines, electric vehicles and power generation.
His earlier career focused on the design of HHP gas and diesel-powered generators for continuous, prime and standby applications in global markets and subsequently in the design of turbocharger technologies for diesel and gas engines. During his career, he has held roles in applied mechanics, product development, application engineering and technical sales.
Paul has travelled extensively to support major global HD truck OEM customers, delivering leading-edge turbocharger technology solutions to enable next-generation fuel economy and low-emissions performance in line with future legislation.
His current role spans several areas, including serving as Global Chief of Staff for the Cummins Components and Software (CCS) Engineering function, and as Director of Technical Planning and Engineering Excellence.
He is also responsible for managing the pipeline of next-generation talent across all CCS global locations. He is passionate about creating an environment where the next generation of engineers and scientists can thrive and conceptualise the products of the future from undergraduates to subject matter experts.
